No Political Advertising in Massachusetts

Did you know there have been no political adverts run in Massachusetts?

I understand other parts of the country are getting one a minute. The candidates seem to both feel this state will vote for Kerry. I wonder if either of them have noticed that we have a Republican Governor. We have had four republican Governors since we've moved here. The other thing they don't seem to remember is that Gore's state, Tennessee, went to Bush in the last election.

I feel neglected. Their assumption the state is a goner makes my vote in the Presidential election moot.

More serious than that, they scheduled last night's debate to coincide with the fourth game of the Red Sox-Angels playoff game. (Red Sox won).

This game was quickly followed by the Yankees-Twins game. (Yankees won.)

I supposed the pundit believed that anyone who would rather watch an exciting playoff game instead of a talking head and two aged politicians perform a staged three man show, would probably not vote.

How wise these pundits be.
